Spent a beautiful Savannah Saturday participating in my favorite SCAD event- Sidewalk Arts Festival!

I was so excited to be participating my final year as an undergrad, decorating my square to celebrate my next chapter at- Walt Disney Imagineering!!
•
The past 3 years I have dedicated my squares to the Disney Parks. During my freshman year I remember telling myself, that my senior year I was going to do my square for Imagineering! I have been working and manifesting this dream for a long time and found ways to incorporate my passions into events like these!

What a fun full circle event this has been! I’m so happy to have participated all 4 years- And I hope to take part again as alumni in the future! What a great way to kick off my last month here at SCAD!!✨

This past weekend I checked off another Savannah bucket list item before I graduate- “Running through town”! Last year I watched them set up the @savwomenshalf and I immediately put it down on my to do list for my final year! And I am so glad I did!

Getting to run past landmarks and some of my favorite Savannah locations was amazing! I even saw Forest Gump doing his morning run! Now I have this amazing medal as a memento from my 1st second home!

I only had time to do the 5K this year among my busy school schedule- but I hope to come back and participate again one day- maybe the half marathon next time!!

A successful morning in one of the most beautiful cities I know!

This past weekend I checked off another Savannah bucket list item before I graduate- “Running through town”! Last year I watched them set up the @savwomenshalf and I immediately put it down on my to do list for my final year! And I am so glad I did!

I am honored and excited to share that I have accepted an internship at Walt Disney Imagineering as a Creative Producer upon graduation!

There are no words that I can say that will amount to what I feel at this moment and the hard work that has made this dream a reality. I want to thank my family, friends, and professors for believing in me, supporting me, and for pushing me to be my best. I would not be who or where I am today without all of the people and experiences I have had along the way. I am forever grateful.

As I begin my final quarter of college this week, I look back fondly at the little girl who dreamed of this moment, the little girl who at times never thought she would be “good enough”. I believe this dream was put in her heart for a reason and this week- I made her proud!!

This is just the beginning…🥹

This past quarter I took one of my favorite Design courses: Creative Thinking Strategies. For our final we had to make an interactive piece.

As mentioned through many recent posts, I have been reflecting on my time at SCAD… the people I have met… the lessons I have learned- and wanted to think of a way to bring that into my final piece. I sent out a survey to the students in my class to share with me “A quote/piece of advice that impacts them” and to tell me a “place that makes them happiest”.

After collecting this data, I created a card from each response with a drawing related to the location they said and the quote underneath. These cards eventually turned into trading cards- because everyone has a story, things that motivate them, and advice sometimes they need to hear- which is all exchanged with the people they meet.

My final became these advice cards. I created simple packaging to explain their purpose and was satisfied with the final product. During my presentation, each student in the class had to “choose their fate” as in life- “you get the cards you are dealt” so they would receive advice from someone else. It was really nice to hear how these quotes were messages that many of these students felt like they needed to hear. They each got to keep the random card they got and now they can pass it on to someone else…
